Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; Associate degree welcomed.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Phlebotomy certification (ASCP) preferred; experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently or in a team; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent phlebotomy services for all patients.
• Validate or enter patient demographics and orders in the BILH system.
• Collect specimens by venipuncture or capillary techniques for all ages.
• Prepare specimens for transport to the BILH laboratory.
• Perform administrative duties to open/close the PSC daily.
• Travel to additional PSC sites as needed.
• Support training and mentoring of PSC Phlebotomists.
• Participate in QA programs and continuing education.
