Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our Patient Service Center teams across practices and office sites. You will perform specimen collections, ensure accurate patient data entry, and serve as the face of the lab to patients.

Travel to additional PSCs as needed, participate in QA and training, and uphold safety and quality standards. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, and phlebotomy certification preferred; prior PSC experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; associate degree welcomed.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Phlebotomy certification from ASCP or other accredited agency preferred.
• Previous phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide phlebotomy and related services for all patients.
• Validate or enter patient and insurance demographics in the BILH system.
• Collect specimens via venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages.
• Prepare specimens for transport to the BILH laboratory.
• Support PSC operations and assist in training and mentoring.
• Travel to other PSCs and doctor offices as needed.
• Follow departmental policies and QA programs.
