Beth Israel Lahey Health seeks a Phlebotomist to provide high-quality phlebotomy services across Patient Service Centers and medical offices. You will collect specimens, ensure accurate demographic data, and prepare materials for transport while delivering excellent patient care.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and in a team, across multiple sites with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Associate’s degree welcomed.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working with minimal supervision.
• Basic familiarity with computer applications preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification from ASCP or another accredited agency preferred.
• Previous experience as a phlebotomist preferred.
• One or more years previous experience working in lab Patient Service Centers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent phlebotomy and related services for all patients.
• Validate or update patient demographics in BILH computer systems.
• Collect specimens by venipuncture/capillary techniques for all ages.
• Prepare specimens for transport to a BILH laboratory.
• Perform administrative duties to open/close PSC daily operations.
• Assist in training, coaching, and mentoring PSC Phlebotomists.
• Travel to additional PSC and doctor sites as needed.
• Follow departmental policies and procedures.
