Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Patient Service Center Phlebotomist to join our team. The role involves specimen collections, exceptional customer service, and acting as the face and voice of the BILH Laboratories for patients across multiple sites.

You will collect specimens, update patient demographics, perform administrative duties, and travel to additional centers as needed; prior phlebotomy experience and ASCP certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required or welcomed; college classes encouraged.
• Phlebotomy certification from ASCP or another accredited agency preferred.
• Previous phlebotomy experience preferred; 1+ year PSC experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide excellent phlebotomy and phlebotomy-related services for all patients.
• Validate and/or update patient demographic and information in the BILH system; enter data for new patients.
• Collect specimens according to procedures for all ages.
• Prepare specimens for transport to a BILH laboratory.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties to open, operate, and close the PSC daily.
• Assist in training, coaching, and mentoring PSC Phlebotomists when requested.
• Travel to additional PSC and doctor office sites as needed.
• Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Report to Phlebotomy Supervisor; participate in QA programs and continuing education.
• Provide high level of customer service to patients and providers; ensure patient satisfaction.
