Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare Inc. is seeking a Phlebotomist I to accurately collect and handle patient laboratory specimens for diagnostic testing in a professional medical environment.

The role involves venipuncture, capillary puncture, PIVO, and throat swab collections across Outpatient, Emergency Department, Inpatient, and neonatal settings. It requires BLS, a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least six months of phlebotomy experience or training.

Qualifications

• BLS certification is required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Six months of phlebotomy experience or training or national certification as approved by manager/supervisor is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately collect patient specimens for diagnostic testing.
• Work in fast-paced hospital settings and clinics while maintaining safety standards.
• Communicate procedures and instructions with patients and families with empathy.
• Perform venipuncture, capillary puncture, PIVO, and throat swab collections as needed.
