Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Phlebotomist I to accurately collect patient specimens for diagnostic testing in a professional medical environment. You will join a dynamic team across hospital and clinic settings, handling venipuncture, capillary puncture, PIVO, and throat swabs while ensuring safety and patient engagement.

The role emphasizes empathy, effective communication with patients and families, and opportunities to grow through additional responsibilities such as CODE response

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Six months of phlebotomy experience or training preferred.
• National certification as approved by manager/supervisor preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient specimens for diagnostic testing using venipuncture, capillary puncture, PIVO, and throat swabs.
• Adhere to safety regulations and PPE requirements in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Communicate procedures clearly with patients and families, showing empathy.
• Support registration, CODE response participation, and training of new staff.
