Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Phlebotomist I to accurately collect and handle patient specimens for diagnostic testing in fast-paced hospital or clinic settings. You will work as part of a professional, patient-centered care team and adhere to laboratory compliance and safety standards.

Responsibilities include venipuncture, capillary puncture, PIVO, throat swabs, patient and family communication with empathy, and growth through mentoring staff and participating in special projects.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Six months of phlebotomy experience, training, or national certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately collect patient specimens for diagnostic testing.
• Work in a professional medical environment and ensure safety/compliance with standards.
• Communicate procedures to patients and family with empathy.
• Maintain multiple computer systems and document patient care accurately.
• Be flexible for on-call shifts and holiday rotations as needed.
