Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare Inc. is seeking a Phlebotomist I to accurately collect patient specimens for diagnostic testing in a fast-paced hospital and clinic setting at the West Valley Clinic in Utah.

You will perform venipuncture, capillary puncture, and throat swab collections with a focus on safety and patient care. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and at least six months of phlebotomy experience or national certification.

Qualifications

• BLS Required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of phlebotomy experience, training or national certification as approved by manager/supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Accurately collect patient specimens for diagnostic testing.
• Perform venipuncture, capillary puncture, PIVO and throat swab collections.
• Adhere to safety, regulatory and laboratory compliance standards.
• Communicate procedures and instructions with patients and family in a compassionate manner.
