Octapharma Plasma, Inc. is hiring at our Austin donation center for a Donor Center Technician. You will perform venipuncture, operate plasmapheresis machines, and ensure donor safety while maintaining high quality plasma products.

You’ll follow strict SOPs, keep accurate records, and support a clean, efficient work environment. Training is provided; daytime and evening shifts may be required, including weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ months in a medical/healthcare environment preferred.
• Complete training documentation before duties.
• Excellent customer service and clear communication required.
• Basic computer skills and accurate documentation ability.
• English reading/writing and safety procedures understanding.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with FDA, OSHA, CLIA, and GMP procedures.
• Maintain donor experience and clean, professional environment.
• Verify donor ID and confidentiality per SOPs.
• Set up equipment and prepare supplies for venipuncture and plasmapheresis.
• Label units and samples accurately.
• Perform venipunctures and plasma collection to high safety standards.
• Operate plasmapheresis machines and respond to alarms.
• Monitor donor safety, maintain product quality, and manage waste per safety protocols.
• Calibrate and maintain plasmapheresis machines; replace equipment as needed.
• Report unsafe conditions to management and keep inventory stocked.
