Job summary

Octapharma Plasma, Inc. is recruiting for a position at our donor center in the United States. The role focuses on venipuncture, plasma collection, donor safety, and adherence to SOPs to ensure quality products and positive donor experiences.

You will operate plasmapheresis equipment, monitor alarms, maintain equipment, and uphold strict safety standards while delivering excellent service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum three months of experience in a medical or health care environment preferred.
• Must have completed training appropriate for duties prior to performing duties independently.
• Strong customer service skills required and ability to follow written/verbal protocol.
• Basic computer knowledge and ability to document accurately.

Responsibilities

• Ensures total operation is compliant with state and federal regulations (FDA approved SOPs, OSHA, CLIA, GMP).
• Maintains high level of customer service and positive donor experience.
• Maintains cleanliness of work area and professional environment.
• Reviews donor identification and maintains confidentiality per SOPs.
• Sets up and prepares equipment for venipuncture and plasmapheresis.
• Labels units and samples accurately.
• Executes venipunctures and plasma collection with high quality and safety.
• Operates automated plasmapheresis machines and responds to alarms and events.
• Monitors donor conditions for safety and plasma quality.
• Maintains proper ratio for donor safety and product quality.
• Handles disposal of biohazardous waste and cleans spills per safety protocols.
• Performs calibration/maintenance of machines; replaces equipment when needed.
• Reports unsafe conditions to management and maintains inventory.
