Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum three months experience in a medical/health care environment or equivalent.
• Documentation training completed prior to duties.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal protocol.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to perform venipunctures.
• Ability to work daytime and evening hours, weekends, and extended shifts.

Responsibilities

• Ensures total operation is compliant with state and federal regulations to maintain high production standards and facility compliance.
• Maintains high level of customer service and positive donor experience.
• Maintains cleanliness of work area for a professional environment.
• Reviews donor identification and confidentiality as per procedures.
• Sets up equipment and supplies for venipuncture and plasmapheresis.
• Labels units and samples accurately and executes venipunctures and plasma collection.
• Operates plasmapheresis machines, responding to alarms and managing donor safety.
• Monitors donor conditions to ensure safety and product quality.
• Performs maintenance and calibration of machines; replaces equipment as needed.
• Reports unsafe conditions and maintains inventory on plasma carts.
