Job summary

Labcorp in Bethesda, MD is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. The role involves collecting blood samples via venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages, handling specimen processing, and data entry with a focus on accurate patient information and service quality.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, with phlebotomy certification or training (or 3+ months experience). A Monday–Friday schedule with potential overtime and travel to additional sites may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3+ months experience

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Other duties as assigned
