Job summary

Labcorp in Washington, DC is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform skilled blood collections for patients of all ages in a patient service center. You will collect specimens, enter data accurately, and provide courteous, expert service to patients and staff.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or training (or 3+ months experience). Schedule: Mon-Fri 9:00am-2:00pm; some Saturdays may be assigned; vaccination against COVID-19 is required or an approved

Qualifications

Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
Exceptional customer service and strong communication skills.
Travel to additional sites as needed, reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
Process billing information and collect payments when required.
Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
Provide superior customer service to all patients.
Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
Other Duties as assigned.
