Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy training or certification, and good communication skills. The position offers weekday hours with occasional overtime and opportunities for growth within Labcorp.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more phlebotomist experience.
• Preferred: 1 year or more phlebotomy experience.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Flexibility to work overtime; travel to additional sites; strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient information accurately into the system.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
