Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Olney, MD. The role includes blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages, specimen handling, and accurate data entry of patient information.

You will support billing processes, maintain logs, and provide excellent customer service. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a phlebotomy certification or training, and flexibility for overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Other Duties as assigned
