Job summary

Labcorp is hiring a Phlebotomist to work in a Patient Service Center and provide excellent patient service while performing specimen collections and data entry. This role supports growth opportunities within the organization and requires flexible scheduling, including weekdays and Saturdays as needed.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or training; one year of phlebotomy experience is preferred. Travel to additional sites may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months experience as a phlebotomist.
• Preferred: 1 year or more phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
