Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Olney, MD. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:45am to 5:15pm, with Saturdays as assigned.

The role involves blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques, specimen handling, data entry, and ensuring accurate patient information. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and phlebotomy certification or training, with 3+ months experience; 1 year preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3+ months of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
