Job summary

Labcorp in Alexandria, VA is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our patient-focused team. You will perform venipuncture and capillary collections, prepare specimens, and provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

As the face of Labcorp, you will work in a Patient Service Center or client office, with schedule Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm and opportunities for growth. A high school diploma and phlebotomy certification or training are required, with 6+ months preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program, or 3+ months experience as phlebotomist.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments.
• Prepare specimens for testing and maintain logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
