Job summary

Talent With Heart is seeking a dependable Phlebotomist for a contract position with potential for permanency. The role covers locations throughout Montgomery County, MD, with first shift hours (Mon–Fri, 7am–4pm or 8am–5pm, EOS 8am–12pm).

You will perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge, and document maintenance data, while ensuring patient safety and compliance with OSHA and DEP regulations. A valid state phlebotomy certification and at least 2 years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 2 years of phlebotomy experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures and explains venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Match lab requisitions to specimen tubes, label, centrifuge, split, and store specimens as required by test order; ensure accuracy of test requisitions.
