Job summary

Essenti Talent is seeking a Phlebotomist (6211) for a contract role with potential to convert to permanent. The float position covers Montgomery County, MD, with 1st shift options Mon–Fri: 7am–4pm or 8am–5pm; EOS 8am–12pm.

The role requires blood draws, specimen labeling, proper handling, and adherence to OSHA. Training and workflow improvements are encouraged. Must have phlebotomy certification and at least 2 years of phlebotomy experience.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification required in the employed state.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• 2 years of phlebotomy experience requested.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws and labeling specimens.
• Centrifuging specimens and recording maintenance data.
• Decontamination and updating patient information as required.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper temperature storage.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
