Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed; minimum 6 months venipuncture experience.
• Two years of phlebotomy experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and collect specimens.
• Label, centrifuge, and store specimens.
• Record maintenance data and decontamination; update patient information.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure specimen integrity.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations; attend trainings.
• Verify test requisitions against labels.
• Answer inquiries and communicate results.
