Modern Machining Solutions Inc is seeking a Phlebotomist 6211 for a contract role with potential to become permanent. The position covers Montgomery County, MD, with 1st shift hours (Mon–Fri, 7am–4pm or 8am–5pm; EOS 8am–12pm). The assignment is projected for 3 months plus potential for perm.

Responsibilities include blood draws, labeling, centrifuging, and handling specimens, with attention to procedure, patient communication, and compliance with OSHA/DEP regulations. Benefits are available.

Formación

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED
• 2 years of phlebotomy experience

Responsabilidades

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain clearly the venipuncture process to patients as required.
• Match requisition forms to specimen tubes and label accordingly.
• Package specimens for transport and store per protocol; ensure proper temperature.
• Adhere to OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual trainings.
