Markent Personnel, Inc. is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract opportunity with potential for permanent placement. The role covers multiple Montgomery County locations, MD, with a 1st shift schedule Monday through Friday, 7am–4pm or 8am–5pm (EOS 8am–12pm).

The average duration is 3 months with potential for permanent hire. The phlebotomist will perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge, and manage specimen transport while complying with OSHA and DEP regulations.

Formación

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• 2 years of phlebotomy experience
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsabilidades

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explains the venipuncture process in a clear but courteous manner.
• Demonstrates technique using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Ensures all test requisitions are correct and matches lab requisitions to specimen tubes.
• Packages specimens for transport and stores samples per protocol.
• Complies with OSHA and DEP regulations and attends annual trainings.
• Answers phone calls and reads laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.
