Qualifications

• Minimum of three months’ work experience, preferably in a medical or health provider environment.
• Basic math calculations required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitors the donor and pheresis process and responds to alarms.
• Disconnects the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintains alertness to any donor reactions and notifies staff.
• Uses PDA to record incidents and link equipment to donors.
• Keeps accurate donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
• Adheres to HSE and OSHA policies and promotes safety.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
