Job summary

CSL is seeking a donor processing technician to prepare pheresis equipment and monitor donors throughout the procedure. You will document incidents with a PDA, link equipment to donors, and ensure accurate data entry while adhering to safety policies.

Responsibilities include preparing machines, responding to alarms, and disconnecting donors after the procedure. A high school diploma and minimal medical-related experience are required, with potential cross-training opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months' work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Will perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process, responds to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain awareness of donor reactions during or after the pheresis process and notify appropriate staff.
• Record incidents using the PDA, including machine alerts, alarm events, and donor data.
• Link equipment and supplies to the donor in the electronic donor information management system.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Maintain accurate donor data in the information system per SOPs.
• Follow HSE and OSHA policies; promote safety in all actions.
