Job summary

CSL Plasma in Harlingen, TX is seeking a Pheresis Technician to prepare donors, donor area, and equipment for pheresis and to set up autopheresis machines.

You will monitor donors and the process, respond to alarms, and disconnect donors when complete. Documentation of incidents and donor data is required, using the PDA and donor information system. A clean, safe work environment must be maintained.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months' work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process and respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents and donor data using the PDA and electronic donor information system.
• Ensure clean, safe work environment and follow HSE/OSHA policies.
