Job summary

CSL in Round Rock, TX is seeking a dedicated donor center technician to prepare donors, donor area and equipment for pheresis, operate the autopheresis machine, monitor the donor, and respond to alarms. You will record incidents with the PDA, ensure accurate donor data in the electronic system, follow SOPs, maintain a clean, safe work area, and may cross-train in other areas as needed.

This role requires a high school diploma, at least 3 months of medical environment experience, basic math

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and pheresis process, respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify appropriate staff.
• Use PDA to record incidents such as machine alerts, alarms and adverse events.
• Use PDA to link equipment and supplies to the donor.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system per SOPs.
• Understand policies for hyper immune programs at the center if applicable.
• Maintain clean work environment, ensure supplies, follow HSE/OSHA policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of personnel, donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas to meet business needs.
• Bilingual skills may be required to meet business needs.
• Perform job-related duties as assigned.
