Job summary

CSL is seeking a Pheresis Technician to prepare the donor, donor area, and equipment for pheresis procedures. Responsibilities include machine prep, donor monitoring, incident recording, and ensuring accurate data entry in the donor information system.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least three months of medical/health provider experience, with attention to safety, accuracy, and teamwork in a busy clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Basic math calculations required.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data recording.
• Safety awareness and ability to follow SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and pheresis process, respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents and donor data using the PDA and link equipment to donors.
• Alert supervisor of donor flow issues and ensure accurate donor data entry in the system.
• Follow HSE and OSHA policies and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
