Job summary

CSL in Baytown, TX, is seeking a Pheresis Technician to support donor pheresis procedures on site. The role includes preparing donors, donor areas, and equipment; monitoring donors during the pheresis process and responding to alarms; and ensuring accurate data entry in the donor information system.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 3 months of related experience, and basic math skills. A focus on safety, confidentiality, and cross-training is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process, responds to alarms or signals that may occur during the process.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain awareness of donor reactions and notify appropriate staff.
• Record incidents and donor data in the electronic donor information management system as outlined in SOPs.
• Maintain clean, efficient work environment and ensure supplies are available; follow HSE/OSHA policies.
