Job summary

CSL Vifor Houston is seeking a dedicated donor services technician to support pheresis procedures. You will prepare donors, areas and equipment, and operate the autopheresis machine, ensuring smooth runs and donor comfort.

The role requires basic math, attention to safety, and the ability to respond to alarms. Depending on location, bilingual communication may be needed; experience in medical settings is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 months experience in medical or health provider environment.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Bilingual communication may be required depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area, and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor donor and pheresis process; respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness for donor reactions and notify staff.
• Record incidents with PDA; link equipment to donors.
• Alerts supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate donor data entry in the electronic system.
• Follow HSE/OSHA policies and maintain safety.
• Maintain confidentiality of personnel and donor information.
