Job summary

CSL Vifor in Brownsville, TX is seeking a donor pheresis support role. You will prepare donor areas and equipment, supervise the pheresis process, monitor for alarms, and disconnect the donor when finished.

You will maintain accurate donor data in the electronic donor information system, follow SOPs, and ensure safety and confidentiality. The position may be cross-trained and bilingual skills may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 months’ work experience in a medical/health provider environment.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.
• Bilingual skills may be required depending on needs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process and respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents and donor data using the PDA and link equipment to donors.
• Alert supervisor to donor flow issues and maintain data accuracy in the donor system.
• Follow HSE/OSHA policies and keep the work environment clean and stocked.
• Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor, and center information.
• Cross-training may occur; bilingual skills may be required.
