Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a Donor Center Technician to support pheresis procedures. You will prepare donors, equipment, and the autopheresis machine, monitor the process, and respond to alarms while maintaining donor safety and data integrity.

This role requires attention to detail, basic math skills, and the ability to document incidents and donor information accurately in the electronic system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor donor and pheresis process; respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect donor when process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions; notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents with PDA, including machine alarms and donor events.
• Link equipment and supplies to the appropriate donor in the system.
• Alert supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate donor data recording in the donor information system.
• Follow HSE and OSHA policies; promote safety.
• Maintain confidentiality of personnel, donor, and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas.
