Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a donor center assistant to prepare the autopheresis machine and donor area for pheresis procedures. You will monitor the donor and process, handle alarms, and disconnect the donor when complete.

Responsibilities include recording incidents with the PDA, linking equipment to donors, and maintaining accurate donor data in the electronic system, while following SOPs and safety policies. Cross-training and bilingual skills may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience in a medical or health provider environment.
• Will perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and pheresis process and respond to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to any donor reaction and notify appropriate staff.
• Record incidents that occur during the pheresis process using the PDA.
• Link equipment and supplies used to the appropriate donor in the system.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
• Understand policies related to hyper immune programs at the center if applicable.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure supplies are available; follow HSE/OSHA policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor, and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas.
• Bilingual skills may be required.
• Perform job-related duties as assigned.
