Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking an Apheresis Technician to support donor pheresis procedures in a clinical setting. You will prepare donors, equipment, and the autopheresis machine, while monitoring donor status and responding to alarms to ensure safe, efficient procedures.

The role requires attention to donor safety, accurate data entry in the donor information system, and adherence to SOPs, HSE and OSHA policies. Cross-training and bilingual capability may be necessary depending on the center’s needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months' work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.
• Different qualifications or responsibilities may apply based on local legal and/or educational requirements. Refer to local job documentation where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process, respond to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to any donor reactions and notify appropriate staff.
