Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking apheresis support staff to prepare donors and equipment for pheresis procedures, monitor the process and respond to alarms, and disconnect donors when the procedure is complete. The role includes documenting incidents using a PDA and maintaining accurate donor information per SOPs.

The candidate will ensure a clean workspace, follow HSE/OSHA policies, and may be cross-trained in additional areas to meet business needs, with potential bilingual requirements as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three months’ work experience in a medical or health provider environment recommended.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and pheresis process and respond to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify appropriate staff.
• Record incidents and donor data using PDA and link equipment to donor as needed.
• Alert supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate donor data in the electronic donor information system per SOPs.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure supplies are available, following HSE/OSHA policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of personnel, donor, and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
