Job summary

CSL Toledo is seeking a Donor Pheresis Technician to prepare donors, donor areas, and equipment for pheresis procedures in a busy blood center. You will monitor the donor and the pheresis process, respond to alarms, and ensure accurate data capture.

The role emphasizes safety, confidentiality, and adherence to SOPs, HSE and OSHA policies, with possible cross-training in other areas. A high school diploma and at least three months in a medical setting are required; basic math skills are

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of three months’ work experience in medical or health provider environment.
Ability to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

Prepare donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
Monitor the donor and pheresis process; respond to alarms or signals.
Disconnect donor when the process is complete.
Record incidents and link equipment/donor in the donor information system.
Maintain accurate donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
Follow HSE and OSHA policies; promote safety.
Maintain donor, personnel and center information confidentiality.
May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
Bilingual skills may be required, at the organization’s discretion.
