Job summary

CSL in Toledo, OH is seeking a Pheresis Technician to prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process and to ready the autopheresis machine.

You will monitor the donor and the pheresis process, respond to alarms, disconnect the donor when complete, document incidents on the PDA, and maintain a clean, safe work environment in accordance with HSE and OSHA policies. Cross-training in other areas may be possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitors the donor and the pheresis process, responds to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnects the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintains alertness to donor reactions and notifies staff as needed.
• Uses PDA to record incidents and link equipment to the donor.
• Alerts supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensures accurate donor data in the electronic donor information system per SOPs.
• Maintains a clean, safe work environment and complies with HSE/OSHA policies.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
