Job summary

CSL Plasma in the United States seeks a donor center technician to support pheresis procedures. You will prepare donor areas and equipment, monitor the process, and respond to alarms to keep donors safe and comfortable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three months’ work experience in medical or health provider environment preferred.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area, and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare autopheresis machine for pheresis and monitor during the process.
• Respond to alarms or signals and disconnect donor when complete.
• Maintain awareness of donor reactions and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents and donor data in the PDA and electronic donor information system.
• Link equipment and supplies to the donor in the system.
• Escalate donor flow issues to Group Leader or Supervisor.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and ensure supplies are available.
• Maintain confidentiality of donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas; bilingual may be required.
