Job summary

CSL is seeking a Pheresis Technician to prepare autopheresis machines and monitor donors through the pheresis process at our Florida facility. You will ensure proper machine setup, respond to alarms, and disconnect the donor after completion.

Records of incidents are kept via the PDA system, and donor data is entered accurately in our information management system. Responsibilities include maintaining safety standards, assisting with hyper-immune programs when applicable, and ensuring supplies

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three months’ work experience in a medical or health provider environment preferred.
• Will perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process and respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents using the PDA, including machine alarms and donor events.
• Link equipment and materials to the appropriate donor in the system.
• Escalate donor flow issues to Group Leader or Supervisor.
• Ensure accurate donor data entry in the electronic donor information management system.
• Understand policies for hyper-immune programs when applicable.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure supplies are available.
• Follow all HSE and OSHA policies and promote safety.
• Maintain confidentiality of personnel, donor, and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
• Bilingual skills may be required at organizational discretion.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
