Job summary

CSL Donor Center in Florida is seeking a Pheresis Technician responsible for preparing the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process, and for preparing the autopheresis machine.

The role includes monitoring the donor, responding to alarms, documenting incidents in the PDA and donor information system, maintaining a clean work environment and following HSE and OSHA policies, with potential cross-training and bilingual requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three months' work experience in medical or health provider environment or equivalent.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and pheresis process; respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents using PDA, including machine alerts, alarms, and donor events.
• Link equipment and supplies to the appropriate donor in the PDA system.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
• Follow SOPs and understand policies related to hyperimmune programs.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure supplies are available; follow HSE/OSHA policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of personnel, donor, and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas; bilingual skills may be required.
