Pheresis Process Technician - Donor Care

Job summary

CSL in Florida seeks a Pheresis Technician to prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for pheresis processors. You will report to the Assistant Center Manager and ensure the smooth operation of the pheresis process.

Responsibilities include prepping the autopheresis machine, monitoring donors and alarms, documenting incidents, maintaining a safe work environment, and following SOPs/OSHA policies. Cross-training and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience in medical or health provider environment or equivalent.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process, respond to alerts/alarms during the process.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to any donor reaction and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents and donor data in the electronic donor information management system per SOPs.
