Job summary

CSL is seeking an on-site Pheresis Process Technician to prepare donors and equipment for pheresis, monitor the process, and promptly respond to alarms and donor needs. The role includes recording incidents with a PDA, linking equipment to donors, and ensuring accurate data entry in the donor information system.

Responsibilities require attention to safety, adherence to SOPs, and confidentiality, with potential cross-training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months' work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process and respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify staff as needed.
• Use PDA to record incidents during the pheresis process (alarms, volume variances, events).
• Link equipment and supplies to the corresponding donor in the system.
• Alert supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate donor data recording in the electronic system per SOPs.
• Understand policies for hyper immune programs as applicable.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and ensure supplies are available; follow HSE/OSHA policies.
• Maintain donor, personnel and center information confidentiality.
• Cross-training in other areas may occur as needed.
• Bilingual skills may be required at organization’s discretion.
• Perform job-related duties as assigned.
