Job summary

CSL is seeking a donorpheresis technician to prepare donors, donor areas, and equipment for pheresis procedures, and to monitor donors and machines throughout the process. You will document incidents using a PDA and ensure accurate data entry in the donor information system.

Responsibilities include preparing autopheresis equipment, responding to alarms, and maintaining a clean work area. The role may involve cross-training and bilingual needs, with strict adherence to safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and pheresis process, responding to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to any reaction and notify appropriate staff.
• Record incidents and link equipment/supplies to the donor using PDA.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Accurately record donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
• Understand policies related to hyperimmune programs at the center.
• Maintain a clean, efficient work environment and ensure supplies are available.
• Follow HSE and OSHA policies and promote safety.
• Maintain confidentiality of personnel, donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
• Bilingual skills may be required at organization's discretion.
• Perform job-related duties as assigned.
