Job summary

CSL is looking for a Pheresis Technician to prepare donor areas and equipment for the pheresis process and to monitor donors during the procedure. You will disconnect donors when the process completes and respond to any alarms or donor reactions, while documenting events in the PDA and ensuring donor data accuracy.

The role emphasizes safety, clean work environments, and adherence to SOPs, HSE, and OSHA policies, with potential cross-training in other areas as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for preparing the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitors the donor and the pheresis process, responds to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnects the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintains alertness to any donor reaction during or after pheresis and notifies appropriate staff.
• Records incidents in the PDA and links equipment to the appropriate donor.
• Ensures accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
