Job summary

Lumicera in Raleigh, NC is seeking an Intake Specialist I to enroll new Specialty Pharmacy patients and ensure complete records, including demographics, allergies, history, and payer information.

You will place calls to patients and providers, translate prescription information for dispensing software, and assist with prior authorizations. The role supports the pharmacy team and complies with all relevant laws and ethics.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Some college is preferred.
• CPhT certification or state licensure may be required.
• At least two years of pharmacy support or healthcare experience preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours; shifts 8am–7pm Mon–Thu and 8am–6pm Fri.
• Ability to comply with all applicable laws and maintain high ethical standards.
• Strong cooperative attitude with coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Place calls to new and existing Specialty Pharmacy patients
• Enroll patients into specialty services including patient care management, copay assistance programs, and billing information
• Answer inbound calls from patients, prescribers, and other healthcare professionals
• Contact doctors to obtain necessary information
• Manage the assigned workflow queues
• Document information and prescription order setup accurately and thoroughly
• Support compliance program objectives
• Other duties as assigned
