Job summary

Petsense is hiring to support the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in achieving operational, sales, and merchandising objectives while delivering outstanding customer service. The role emphasizes safety, team training, and adherence to procedures, with a focus on live animals and related merchandise.

The ideal candidate will have retail or pet knowledge, be 18+, and can work a flexible schedule including weekends and overtime as needed to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• Retail experience and/or pet/live animal knowledge is strongly preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required. Read, write and count accurately.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service and assist Store Manager with sales, merchandising, and store operations.
• Promote safe and productive work environment for team members, customers, and vendors.
• Assist in training Team Members on policies and procedures and support selling initiatives.
