Job summary

Petsense is seeking a team member to support the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager by delivering outstanding customer service, merchandising, and safe, productive operations. The role involves assisting with live animals, training team members, and maintaining loss prevention standards.

The ideal candidate has retail or pet knowledge, are 18+, and can read, write and count accurately. Scheduling includes varied shifts and promoting a positive shopping experience for customers and pets

Qualifications

• Retail experience and/or pet/live animal knowledge is strongly preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license.
• Read, write and count accurately regardless of education level.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager with execution of operational, sales and merchandising objectives.
• Provide outstanding customer service and resolve issues to ensure a positive experience for customers and pets.
• Perform basic merchandising, price changes and promotional activities.
• Support cash handling, opening/closing procedures, and daily bank deposits.
• Train Team Members on policies and procedures and safety practices.
