Job summary

Petsense by Tractor Supply is seeking a capable Team Member to support Store Manager and Assistant Manager in daily operations, sales, and merchandising while delivering outstanding customer service.

This role focuses on maintaining a safe, productive environment for team members, customers, and live animals, including training staff on policies and procedures and supporting animal care standards in the store.

Qualifications

• Retail experience and/or pet/live animal knowledge is strongly preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, reading/writing/counting skills required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular and predictable attendance and work varied shifts.
• Execute merchandising, price changes, and plan-o-grams as directed.
• Open/close procedures and cash handling with accurate reconciliations.
• Assist customers with loading purchases and resolving complaints to ensure positive experiences.
• Care for live animals, including feeding, housing, and sanitation of holding tanks.
• Train new Team Members and complete required documentation.
