Job summary

Petsense by Tractor Supply is seeking a team member to support the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in achieving operational, sales, and merchandising goals while delivering outstanding customer service.

The role emphasizes creating a safe, productive work environment for Team Members, customers, and vendors, and includes training on policies, procedures, and loss-prevention practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail and/or pet/live animal knowledge is strongly preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, reading, writing and counting abilities required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Work scheduled shifts including varied hours, nights, weekends and overtime as needed.
• Promote a safe and productive work environment and enforce policies.
• Support selling initiatives (TEAM) by greeting customers, engaging with them and pets, and recommending products.
• Execute merchandising activities and price changes; perform opening/closing procedures.
• Assist in live animal care, feeding, habitat maintenance, and safety procedures.
• Handle cash register operations and ensure proper cash handling.
• Train new Team Members and complete required documentation.
