Job summary

Petsense seeks a team member to support store operations and deliver outstanding customer service. You will help with merchandising, pricing, and Plan-o-gram execution while ensuring a safe environment for customers and Team Members.

Responsibilities include assisting in opening/closing, handling live animals, cash handling, and training new Team Members. Must be 18+, have a valid license, and read/write/count competently.

Qualifications

• Retail experience and/or pet/live animal knowledge is preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver's license.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required.
• Team Members must be able to read, write and count accurately.

Responsibilities

• Assist in opening/closing procedures and daily store operations.
• Promote a safe and productive work environment and train team members.
• Resolve customer complaints to ensure a positive experience.
• Support selling initiatives and engage with customers about products.
• Assist with merchandising, price changes, and Plan-o-gram execution.
• Operate cash register and supervise cash handling procedures.
• Handle and care for live animals including their food, bedding and habitat.
